You know how it is when you're laid up at home and your brain just starts spinning with all the what ifs about your case. I've been off work for about six weeks now after a forklift incident at a distribution center and I swear I've googled the same questions like twenty times just trying to make sure I understood the answers correctly. I came across this one site https://www.workerscompensationattorneylaw.com/ that I ended up bookmarking on my phone because it had a really clear section about what happens if you're cleared for light duty but your employer doesn't have any light duty work available. That's exactly the spot I might be in soon and I had no idea how that worked with benefits and everything. My wife got tired of me asking her if she thought I should call a lawyer yet, so having a place to go and read through things when I'm overthinking at 2am has been a small sanity saver. I'm probably going to make some calls next week just to have a real conversation with someone, but at least now I feel like I won't go into that first call completely clueless. Anyway, just thought I'd share in case anyone else is in that spiral of confusion and needs a decent place to start reading.
