I keep seeing "United Recovery" pop up on my caller ID, sometimes 5 or 6 times a day. They leave voicemails that sound super urgent and threatening, saying they need to discuss "time-sensitive matters." The problem is, I have no idea what this is even about. I'm usually good with my finances, and I'm terrified they have the wrong person or that this is some kind of mistake.

They are making me feel like a criminal, and the constant calls are making it hard to focus at work. Has anyone dealt with a case of mistaken identity with these guys? How do you even prove a debt isn't yours?

I finally looked up my rights and found this article. It explains how to request debt validation so they have to prove the debt is mine before they can keep calling. Posting it here for anyone else feeling trapped by this:
