Fake Bank Calls?

I received a call from what looked like a normal Italian landline, but the person asked for banking details. Could a reverse lookup help verify the number, or should I rely only on the bank's official contact information?

If someone calling from a bank asks for sensitive banking information, I wouldn't rely on a reverse lookup alone. Even if the number appears to belong to a real organization, caller ID can sometimes be misleading. You can use https://scannero.com/who-called-me/italy/ as an additional check, but I'd contact the bank using the phone number printed on its official website, card, or statement. Never provide passwords, PINs, or security codes during an unexpected call.
