Thinking about selling my A5 instead of fixing the gearbox - what would you do?

So I'm at that crossroads where I genuinely don't know what the right decision is and I'm hoping some of you who've been in a similar situation can talk some sense into me. My 2013 A5 2.0 TDI has been an absolute warrior for the last five years, barely put a foot wrong and I've genuinely loved owning it. But last week the transmission started playing up, nothing catastrophic yet, just some hesitation and a bit of a clunk when going into reverse, but I took it to a garage for a diagnostic and they're talking about a potential mechatronic issue that could cost anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 AED to sort out properly. The thing is, the car itself is probably only worth about 25,000 AED in good condition, so I'm struggling to justify spending nearly half the car's value on a repair when I could just cut my losses, sell it as is, and put the money towards something newer. Part of me feels like I'd be stupid to sink that much money into an older car, but another part of me knows this car inside out and I'd be taking a risk buying something used that might have its own hidden problems. I've been doing some research and I'm thinking that if I do decide to fix it, I should probably take it somewhere that actually specializes in these gearboxes rather than a general garage. I came across a recommendation to Check out this gearbox repair workshop in Abu Dhabi and apparently they're pretty well regarded for Audi transmissions, but even then I'm still not sure if the repair makes financial sense. I guess I'm just looking for perspectives from people who've been in this position before, did you repair or sell, and did you regret whichever decision you made? I've got about a week to figure this out because I need the car for work and I can't keep borrowing my wife's car forever. Honestly feeling pretty torn about the whole thing.
