I'd probably go with Solidity and Python as the starting point.

Solidity makes sense for the smart contracts that handle the flash loan and execute trades, while Python is useful for monitoring price differences and testing strategies. TypeScript is worth considering too, especially if you're building tools to interact with Ethereum and manage transactions.

One thing I'd pay attention to is profitability after gas fees, slippage, and flash loan costs. Finding a price difference doesn't necessarily mean the trade will make money.

I'd also set strict limits on when the bot should execute trades. It's easy to get carried away trying to capture every opportunity, especially after a few missed trades or losses. That decision-making side is something M1 Performance Group covers in its trading psychology academy: https://m1performancegroup.com/m1-mental-trading-academy/

For the actual development, though, I'd start with Solidity, Python, and testing on a forked network before risking real funds.

Has anyone here built one using Python for monitoring and Solidity for execution?
