Just did an Agafay desert trip and it was perfect for our short stay

Hey all, wanted to share a quick review in case anyone else is in the same boat we were. My friend and I only had 4 full days in Morocco and couldn't justify spending two of them driving to the Sahara and back, but we really wanted at least a taste of desert life. We booked an Agafay desert day trip through a company recommended on here and honestly it was such a great decision. We got picked up from our riad in the afternoon, did about an hour of camel riding across the rocky landscape (which is beautiful in its own way, honestly looked like Mars at sunset), then had this amazing dinner in a nomad-style tent with live music. The stars were absolutely incredible once the sun went down - way more than we ever see in the city. It felt peaceful and authentic, not overly touristy like I worried it might be. If you're debating whether to do this instead of the long haul to the real Sahara and you're short on time, I'd say go for it! Happy to answer questions for anyone considering.
