Title: Law Offices of Ferris & Selby Calling? My Experience & a Question
Post by: peterjohnson259085 on Jun 24, 2026, 03:05 PM
So, I started getting calls from the Law Offices of Ferris & Selby a few weeks ago. At first, I ignored them because I didn't recognize the number, but they kept calling. When I finally answered, the person on the other end was pretty aggressive, talking about a debt I wasn't even sure I owed and making it sound like I could face serious legal consequences if I didn't pay up immediately.

It felt really intimidating, and honestly, I was scared for a bit. They mentioned things like wage garnishment and legal action, which made me think I was in deep trouble. I almost paid just to make the calls stop.

I did some digging online and found this helpful guide (https://consumerlawfirmcenter.com/law-offices-of-ferris-selby-calling/) that explained my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. It said debt collectors can't make threats they can't legally carry out, and I have the right to ask for a debt validation letter to verify the amount they claim I owe. I'm starting to think these calls might be a tactic to pressure me into paying something I don't actually owe or that has inflated fees added on.

My main question for anyone who has dealt with this firm: Have any of you received similar calls from the Law Offices of Ferris & Selby? How did you handle it? Did you request a debt validation letter, and did they actually provide it? I'm trying to figure out the best way to respond without getting bullied into a wrong move.
